Our monthly adult faith formation process called People of Faith Gatherings begins
in October. You can attend the 10AM or 4PM Mass, come to St. Michael Hall for lunch (or dinner) and
enjoy some refreshment through a program for adults. This year’s theme is Prayer, and at the kickoff
meeting on October 2nd, Fr. Ken will talk about “We Are Called to Pray”.
This year we offer new twists on your prayer traditions and experiences.
Please register on-line at olmc.org or at the table in the Commons.
Sessions begin the first weekend in October.
Ongoing Faith Formation is for all Baptized Adults. We have many offerings planned this summer to help your continued growth in your Catholic Faith, as well as some social activities to deepen your roots in the Community.
On September 22, 29 and October 6 we will discuss the book: Falling Upward: A
Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life written by Franciscan priest, Fr. Richard Rohr.
Fr. Rohr offers a new paradigm for understanding how our failings can be the foundation for our
ongoing spiritual growth. In this book we enter a journey to give us an understanding of how
the heartbreaks, disappointments, and first loves of life are actually stepping stones to the
spiritual joys that the second half of life has in store for us.
Books are on sale in Carmel Center and the Parish Store $15.
