Ladies of Carmel

The Ladies of Carmel organization is the embodiment of service, dedication, fellowship, caring and selflessness by the women of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The members are women of strong faith and are a visible example of Christian life to the parish and community. The ladies enrich many lives by living their faith and enriching OLMC community with their kindness and generosity.

The ladies fund and support a wide variety of activities and ministries. including the Food Pantry, Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner, and donating stockings of toiletries for AIDS patients. The Ladies of Carmel have raised funds with Book and Bake Sales, Garage Sales, Auctions, Raffles and a casino Night. Through the years these fundraisers have made it possible for the Ladies of Carmel to contribute $60,000 to the Capital Campaign Fund, help fund the Church Bell Tower and Life House and contribute $12,000 to the construction of a new school playground. Most recently the Ladies of Carmel paid off their pledge of $45,000 towards the St. Michael Hall fund.

The Ladies of Carmel organization is comprised of smaller Guilds where the ladies meet regularly in different neighborhoods in the members' homes sharing their faith and planning and supporting all of the Ladies of Carmel activities. The Guilds meet once a month from September through May and all the guilds are open to new members. (Click here for a listing of guilds and meeting times)

The support these ladies provide to the parish is unending and is given graciously. The Ladies of Carmel need your kindness and generosity to continue these important works of Christ.
