Connect with us on Flocknote

Our Lady of Mount Carmel uses Flocknote, a Catholic communication platform for communicating with our members and friends.  Most parishioners are automatically added to our weekly parish email, giving activities and updates.  Parishioners with cell phones may also sign up to receive infrequent text updates – primarily reminders of Holy Days, parish emergencies and closings, and important Church information.

If you would like to connect with us on Flocknote, simply sign up here to receive updates.  You can manage your subscription or updates at any time.  Keeping in touch with our parish families is an important priority for OLMC.

Your information is secure, and is never shared outside of OLMC parish.

We find Christ here.  We bring Christ to the world.

Newly Confirmed

Congratulations!
Our Pastor, Father Dan Beeman conferred the Sacrament of Confirmation upon these three adult Candidates.

Confirmation is the sacrament by which Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation.

It is with great joy that we welcome the newly confirmed into the fullness of the Catholic Church and our parish community.

Are you interested in receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation as an adult?
Now is the time to complete the sacraments of initiation and be filled with the Holy Spirit! These sessions are for you if you are at least 18 years old, are a baptized, practicing Catholic, have received First Holy Communion and have never been confirmed.

Ladies of Carmel

Dear Sisters in Christ,

Welcome to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Community!

The Ladies of Carmel invite you to become a part of an amazing organization.  We are women of every age, marital status, working and retired, young mothers and widows. Our mission is to support each other and the parish, as well as the larger community.

The Ladies of Carmel is comprised of small guilds where women meet once a month from September through May. The ladies meet in members’ home, or at restaurants. Some guilds meet during the day, others in the evenings.  Our meetings give women a chance to enjoy faith and fellowship, as we work on individual guild projects or those of the organization as a whole.

Since 1956 the guilds have been able to meet many of the otherwise unfunded needs of the parish by raising money for the Communion vessels, the bell tower, the crucifix, hymnals, and the youth groups, as well as the Capital and Living Our Mission Campaigns. We support the OLMC School, Peninsula Catholic, and the Poor Clares; help with funeral receptions and numerous other projects at the Church. We also gather for fun and fellowship throughout the year at events such as our annual Fashion Show.

If you are interested in becoming a member or have any questions, please contact any guild chairlady of the local guilds shown on the Guild Page or Paula Krewinghaus, Membership Committee, at 757-593-2348 or paulakrew@gmail.com.

Yours in Christ,
The Ladies of Carmel
